The BuzzFm Rolling Format guarantees your favourite music right through the day with the information you need to know. We are bombarded even here in The Canaries with different forms of media to inform and entertain. BuzzFm programming has adapted to compete with these new channels. We would be foolish to think our audience listens every minute of the day, we can encourage them, but in reality we've all become channel hoppers. There are still 'radio shows' that attract good auidences like Steve Wright, Johnathan Ross etc. We simply cannot emulate these radio stations and their resources with our budgets and advertising revenue available in the Canary Islands. Our strengths are the local position, Sky News and the creative programming team behind BuzzFm in Lanzarote and the UK.
BuzzFm People
We are headed up by John Henry who has a pedigree and history that will become a book one day! John is really committed to Lanzarote but never envisaged starting a radio station when coming to live in Lanzarote. BuzzFm was born from a hurried conversation in Arrecife airport and John's disbelief of the British commerical radio available when he arrived in 2003. BuzzFm has built a wonderful infrastructure of equipment and software that can be heard everyday. Our Spanish transmitter engineers headed up by Maurico Cerpa have also been on a journey and are becoming world class operators in this harsh environment. Michael Irving is our creative spark, no two days are ever the same! Katie Gehbreyesus is our Sales Director and Gestiones.com with AtoZ of Paperwork keep everything tidy. Mike Ashley and Jules Weakley are the solid anchors of the rolling format and we'll be adding more as we develop this new programming. Andy Ivy keeps the Sky News pumping 24 hours a day from the UK.

The bedrock of BuzzFm is our music profile. We consider every track from content to popularity. Music Radio is a science, the sound, the mix and the choice of track. Presenters with cool voices and personality are the final ingredients that make it all work. The BuzzFm directors have over 30 years experience of radio programming that stretches all over the UK Network with Music and Video supply services to household brands like Subway, All Bar One, Apres, Spa, Bar Room Bar, Luminar and Genting Leisure to mention a few. If you enjoy BuzzFm pass it on. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are small communities and a successful commercial station can really create an immediate cost effective alternative to printed advertising.
